This product contains a review sheet, a scaffolded review sheet, and four 2-problem quizzes on solving multi-step equations. The purpose of the product is to help students master the skill of solving multi-step linear equations.

The review sheet explains how to solve multi-step linear equations. The scaffolded review sheet has blanks in key areas so that the students may complete the review sheet with the teacher.

The students are preferably placed in pairs. After studying the review sheet, the students then take one of the mini-quizzes. The quizzes are checked immediately by their partners. If the student earns 100% correct, he/she is done and helps the other student study. The process continues until either everyone earns 100% or the four quizzes are all used.

Although this product is arranged to be done using the Convergence Strategy by Dr. Ed Thomas in Styles and Strategies for Teaching High School Mathematics, it may be used in other ways as desired.
