Description

In this self-checking activity, students will work to solve a variety of multistep equations. As questions are answered correctly, pieces of the mystery puzzle will begin to appear, just like a pixel art activity! This resource also includes a matching printable worksheet that students can use to show their work.

This activity includes TWO student versions. In one student version, answer cells will turn green and red if they are correct or incorrect. In a second student version, in addition to the green and red answer cells, the worksheet will automatically calculate student grades. In both versions, puzzle pieces only appear when answers are entered correctly.

Both versions of the activity include the same 14 equations with variables on both sides.

Included:

  • two self-checking student versions
  • 14 multistep equations with the variable on both sides
  • printable worksheet
  • Answer Key

This activity is ready to go upon purchase! Each file component of this resource (student versions and answer key) are their own separate files -- once you have added the resource to your google drive you can assign to your students.

NOTE: This resource is for use with Google Sheets ONLY. It is not made for Microsoft Excel as well.
