Solving One Step Algebra Equations with Integers 7.EE.B.3 Bundle A
Share

Description

This bundle includes three formative assessments (with answer keys and black-and-white versions) that progress students through the pre-algebra/algebra skill of Solving One Step Algebra Equations with Integers (Common Core Math standard 7.EE.B.3 and TEKS 8.8C).

  • The Level 1a (Introducing the Skill) assessment consists of 10 multiple-choice problems in which students must select the correct answer that matches the solution to a simple one-step algebraic equation with small integers. (You can also use a FREE interactive, autograded version on the TeacherMade website by clicking HERE).

  • The Level 2a (Developing the Skill) assessment consists of 14 free-response problems in which students must find on their own the correct solution to a simple one-step algebraic equation with small integers. (You can also use a FREE interactive, autograded version on the TeacherMade website by clicking HERE).

  • The Level 3a (Mastering the Skill) assessment consists of 16 free-response problems in which students must find the correct solution to a more complicated one-step algebraic equation with larger integers. (You can also use a FREE interactive, autograded version on the TeacherMade website by clicking HERE).

By having three different levels of the same skill, you can have students complete a skill progression, differentiate the activity seamlessly, or allow students to self-select for difficulty. Your principal will love it! ;-)

Be sure to visit your friendly neighborhood Arisen Phoenix Store for more assessments and worksheets. For instance, there are similar B series and a C series of these worksheets if you need to reassess at the same level. If you would like to check out our editing, proofreading, and other curriculum services, we can also be reached at our website. And don't forget to give us a 5-star review, pretty please–we need the help!

Worked perfectly for filling in gaps with a student I am tutoring. I like that there are plenty of practice problems.

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Solve multi-step real-life and mathematical problems posed with positive and negative rational numbers in any form (whole numbers, fractions, and decimals), using tools strategically. Apply properties of operations to calculate with numbers in any form; convert between forms as appropriate; and assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies. For example: If a woman making $25 an hour gets a 10% raise, she will make an additional 1/10 of her salary an hour, or $2.50, for a new salary of $27.50. If you want to place a towel bar 9 3/4 inches long in the center of a door that is 27 1/2 inches wide, you will need to place the bar about 9 inches from each edge; this estimate can be used as a check on the exact computation.
