In this self-checking activity, students will work to solve a variety of one step equations. As questions are answered correctly, pieces of the mystery puzzle will begin to appear, just like a pixel art activity! This resource also includes a matching printable worksheet that students can use to show their work while solving.

This resources includes TWO student versions. One resource is self-checking where answers will turn green and red if they are correct or incorrect. The second resource is self-checking like the first, and includes auto-grading and progress monitoring. In the second version, a score is calculated automatically in addition to the green/red answer spaces.

In this activity, in addition to the green/red answer spaces, the mystery image will appear only when correct answers are typed into the spreadsheet. Both resource contain the same 20 questions in the same order -- a mixture of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
