Description
What are relay task cards? They are just regular task cards with a fun twist. When you solve the first example on task card A, you must put your solution in the empty box on task card B in order to create the next problem. After all 11 problems are solved, there will be a final solution to be checked.
When students are done I will check their final answer. If their final answer is incorrect, it is up to them to problem solve and figure out where they went wrong. I prefer working in small groups of 2-3 so that the students can bounce ideas off each other.
OBJECTIVE: Students will get practice solving beginner one step linear equations. These questions use just one of the following 4 operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication or division. Note – there is 1 question that will have a negative x and students must solve for positive x.
