Description

This notes page focuses on the following types of problems involving percents:

  • Finding the part (given the whole and percent)
  • Finding the whole (when given the part and percent)
  • Finding the percent (given the part and whole)

Each type of problem is outlined with question format, how-to steps, an example, and guided practice.

I use the notes after the first learning process. When my students have struggled on a quiz I pull out these notes as a reteach and practice opportunity. I've realized that some of my students just need extended practice of a skill. This is what I designed these notes around.
