This resource was utilized as a "thin-slicing" (see the book Building Thinking Classrooms by Peter Liljedahl) activity for students to introduce solving Quadratic equations by using square roots. Students activate their background knowledge of square roots and solving linear equations to create their own understanding. There are 16 problems in this set.
This application multiple uses in your classroom:
- Thin-slicing lesson within groups
- lesson introduction
