Description
Description:
In this activity, students will practice solving rational equations. There are 12 problems total that students must complete. Problems include equations that can be written as a proportion, as well as, equations where finding the least common denominator and eliminating the denominator is necessary. Students will need to be able to solve a basic quadratic equation by factoring. Once students complete each problem, they must look for their answer in the answer bank. Each answer from the answer bank will only be used once! This provides students with feedback almost instantly.
The activity is available as a worksheet or as a Google Slides Drag & Drop activity. The activity is ready to go, so zero prep is involved for the teacher and it is a very easy activity to grade! (Answer keys with and without work are included.)
This activity works great for independent or partner practice. Assign the activity as in-class work or as homework. The activity also works great for sub-plans!
Tired of students always asking “Is this problem right?”
This Solve & Match activity will help students practice solving rational equations using logarithms and provide them with feedback on whether their answer is correct without the teacher needing to check every single problem and student paper. Students are able to know almost instantly if they are on the right track with their answers, without having to ask the teacher. This gives time for the teacher to hold individual or small group conferences with students.
