Description

Solving Ratios Notes and Practice Foldable

This product begins with how to set up a ratio proportion. Then practice with solving a proportion two different ways: scale factor and cross multiply and divide.

This leads into a simple example.

Then there are 8 practice problems with solving with ratios:

2 part to part

2 part to whole/whole to part

2 with difference

2 with tables

This folds into a trifold (brochure style) to easily fit into students interactive math journals.

This product is aligned to the following TEKS:

(4) Proportionality. The student applies mathematical process standards to develop an understanding of proportional relationships in problem situations. The student is expected to:

        (B) apply qualitative and quantitative reasoning to solve prediction and comparison of real-world problems involving ratios and rates;

    (C) give examples of ratios as multiplicative comparisons of two quantities describing the same attribute;

Problems are modeled after STAAR released questions where applicable.
