Solving Two Step Equations Lesson

I have used this demo lesson multiple times to show to hiring committees that I am a good fit to teach. I have also used this to simply teach the concept.

Vocabulary:

• Addition – combining quantities
• Subtraction – taking away or finding the difference
• Multiplication – repeated addition
• Division – splitting into equal groups
• Sum – the answer to an addition problem
• Difference – the answer to a subtraction problem
• Product – the answer to a multiplication problem
• Quotient – the answer to a division problem
• Coefficient – the number multiplied by a variable (ex: 3x)
• Constant – a number by itself (ex: 7)
• Variable – a letter that represents an unknown number
