Looking for a new way to review solving equations? Students solve 2-step equations with x on one side in this math activity that doubles as classroom décor. The finished math pennants make a colorful bulletin board display of student work.
Included inside:
- 20 2-step equations math pennants*
- answer sheet
- answer key
*There are two sets of pennants included: 20 with QR codes for easy checking and 20 without QR codes. Please use a free QR code reader (not the camera app) to read the QR codes.
Once a pennant is complete, it can be hung along a string in your classroom to show the world that, "Hey, we know how to solve two-step equations!"
Each group of students can be given a set of pennants, scissors and either glue, tape or a stapler. Students can be in charge of cutting out the pennants. Groups can compete to see which group can complete the most pennants or your entire class can add pennants to one string as they complete each one. You may also choose to have your students color their pennants to add to your classroom décor.
