Description
*This is the digital version of my Solving Two Variable Systems of Equations Activity - Ready for Sum Math! activity! Great to use for Distance Learning or Sub Plans!*
This NO PREP DIGITAL activity uses Google Sheets to practice solving two variable systems of equations. There are 5 problem sets that each contain 4 problems. Each set is differentiated by different shapes: heart, lightning, smiley, star, and sun. You can choose to assign all 5 sets to your students, assign specific sets to specific students or groups of students, or you can have them choose a certain number of sets to work on. As students solve each problem and type their answers in the box, the program will automatically find the sum of their inputted answers. Each set of problems has the same sum! This is a self-checking activity, so when students get the correct sum for each set, the sum box will turn green!
Each set contains one problem where one variable is by itself and one where a variable has a coefficient of 1 or -1, making these easy to use substitution for. Each set also contains one problem where you would have to multiply one equation if using elimination, and one where you would have to multiply both equations.
This activity includes the digital file you can share with students and a PDF containing teacher instructions and answers.
