Description

Are you looking for an easy and effective routine to practice word problems with your students? This resource will engage your students, and you can target the skills they need to practice! You can practice addition and subtraction word problems using this resource, but you can also practice other skills depending on which questions you ask or students create.

This is a bundle of ALL 10 months of my 3 reads resources! Save over 20% by purchasing the bundle. The months included are August, September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April, and May.

The 3 read protocol is a useful strategy to teach students to think about what word problems are asking. Students analyze what is happening in a word problem rather than rushing to solve it without understanding the story. This strategy is highly effective for English language learners because of the visuals and the deep analysis of a math story. The students also need to inquire about the story and create their own questions. It is very engaging for students because they are the ones who have created the questions.

Each of these monthly resources includes 10 seasonally themed story problems (each story has at least two options for differentiation). Each story problem has a recording sheet included, vocabulary cards, picture cards, and picture manipulatives that match each story.
