Description

This resource is a set of ten digital drag-and-drop Easel activities that your students will do on their devices. THERE ARE NO WORKSHEETS TO PRINT. There is no prep needed by the teacher, and no grading is required as the activities are self-checking. The activities require no cutting or pasting by the students.

This resource will provide practice for your students to sort pictures with labels into correct categories. All of the 150 pictures are actual photographs.

Each of the activities involves sorting 15 pictures into 3 categories. On their devices, the students simply drag and drop each picture to a box in the column where it belongs. When finished, students click on the “Check” box to get instant feedback on their answers. Any incorrect answers are marked, and the students can click on the “Try Again” box to make corrections. When finished, the students click on the “Turn In” box to submit the assignment to the teacher.

The following types of pictures and categories are included:

1) 15 pictures of MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS to be sorted into categories of STRINGS, BRASS, and PERCUSSION

2) 15 pictures of ANIMALS to be sorted into categories of ON THE FARM, IN THE WOODS, and AT THE ZOO

3) 15 pictures of FOOD to be sorted into categories of FRUIT, VEGETABLE, and MEAT

4) 15 pictures of PLANTS to be sorted into categories of CACTUS, TREE, and FLOWER

5) 15 pictures of TYPES OF TRANSPORTATION to be sorted into categories of AIR, WATER, and LAND

6) 15 pictures of PETS to be sorted into categories of CATS, DOGS, and BIRDS

7) 15 pictures of DESSERTS to be sorted into categories of COOKIE, CAKE, and PIE

9) 15 pictures of TOOLS to be sorted into categories of BUILDER, CHEF, and DOCTOR

These Easel activities can be used in many settings: morning work, whole class lessons, test prep, small group instruction, independent work, center work, early finisher activity, homework, distance learning, and whatever else you can imagine.
