Description
Follow the boy on his skateboard through the countryside (feel free to name him!), to the desert, mountains and beyond. What sounds will we hear as we travel along with him?
This interactive PowerPoint targets imitation of early environmental and animal sounds, which can often be easier than actual words. Encourage your child to make sounds along with you, to predict the sounds they might hear, or to identify the sounds they hear. Sounds include: a variety of animal sounds, a hammer, rain, wind, water, fireworks, a phone, a clock, a scream, crying and a fire engine.
Can also be used for vocabulary, including verbs, as well as nouns and locations. Vocabulary includes: fence, hammer, cow, dog, dolphin, owl, ball, helmet, umbrella, fireworks, house, teddy, flowers, cookies, clock, train, fire engine, toys, skateboard, jump, throw, stop, go, eat, knock, ring, clouds, wind, rain, sun, mountains, wood, stream, tree, desert, sea, and more!
How to use:
Open the PowerPoint and look through the notes in each slide to remind you what you can click on in each room.
Then before the child arrives open the PowerPoint in slideshow mode, name the boy, and off you go through a variety of scenery, ending at the sea to watch the fireworks!
Great for online or face to face therapy. Get the child involved, identifying and imitating the sounds they hear, as well as predicting the sounds they might encounter!
