Description

Turn your classroom review into a galactic adventure. Space Quest is an editable Google Slides review game where students answer questions, collect cosmic items, and overcome obstacles as they progress through a quest. Teachers simply type their review questions into the slides, making the game flexible enough to use with any subject. Because the questions are editable, this activity can be reused throughout the year for different units, test prep, or end-of-year review. Students stay engaged because their success in the quest depends on their answers.

How the Game Works

Students begin the game with a small number of power cells. As review questions appear on the screen, students answer along with the class. Correct answers allow them to earn helpful items that will aid them throughout the quest.

Along the way students may collect:

  • Power Cells
  • Force Fields
  • Galactic Coins
  • Extra Lives

During the adventure students will also encounter obstacles such as black holes, asteroids, and aliens. To overcome these obstacles, students must choose whether to use a force shield or sacrifice one of their power cells.

At the end of the game, students count the items remaining on their board to determine their final stellar level ranking, ranging from Rookie Astronaut to Cosmic Commander. The combination of strategy and review questions keeps students focused while still feeling like a game.
