Comic strips are an awesome writing activity or sub plan! Each one is a little different, but they all ask students to respond to a unit-aligned prompt that requires writing in Spanish using the target vocabulary and grammar skills. And they all involve illustration, which is a great way to engage your artistic and visual learners. Plus you can decrease or increase your expectations for how detailed the artwork is to stretch time for a sub!
