Math Curriculum Developed for students with significant disabilities and Autism.
This is a scripted math curriculum for teachers, substitutes and para educators that can used for individuals or groups of students.
Work on all of the core math topics that are pertinent for your students who are working on rote counting 1-10, prepositions, colors, identifying numbers 1-9, shapes, common objects found in their every day environment, and body parts.
All lessons have worksheets included to work on generalization of skills with embedded tasks:
- Fine Motor: Writing name, handwriting practice, cutting, gluing and coloring
- Pre-academic skills: Matching, Sorting
- Life Skills: Getting materials supported with visuals
Each lesson has a set of flashcards specific to newly learned skills: Colors, Numbers, Shapes, Common Objects, and Body Parts.
All lessons include data sheets using a system of prompts hierarchy to easily track student progress and level of independence.
Includes an end of unit assessment with visuals, flashcards, and data sheets with strategies for how to students with complex communication needs.
This curriculum is meant to go as fast or as slowly as each student needs. Spend a week or more on one lesson. This curriculum unit, at a minimum should take 10 weeks to complete, maybe longer depending on the needs of your students.
