A lab that introduces the principles of spectroscopy. Requires students to use basic scientific reasoning skills. You will need colored pencils, Project STAR spectrometers (or similar spectrometer), and 5 different light sources ( I use the sun, a computer monitor, an incandescent bulb, an LED bulb, and a fluorescent bulb).
