Description

How many times have you found yourself searching for speech development norms during a parent meeting? What if you could have all the essential data right at your fingertips? Imagine explaining phonological processes to parents without having to pause and search through multiple resources.

These easy-to-understand posters provide

✅ Typical speech sound development milestones

✅ Consonant acquisition and intelligibility norms

✅ Common phonological patterns with suppression timelines

Not only do they look bright and engaging on your speech therapy wall to make your room appear more child-friendly, but they can transform your clinical practice as an essential reference tool!

Super helpful (not to mention fun and easy to understand) resource to provide to parents when explaining norms or a child's speech presentation. Also great when I need to remind myself of a speech norm, it's super reassuring that Rebecca updates these when new research comes out.

DOWNLOAD THIS RESOURCE IF YOU WANT TO:

❶ -- Feel more confident describing and explaining speech development and phonological patterns

❷ -- Have a quick reference to approximate ages of suppression broken down by age.

❸ -- Display informative poster in your speech therapy room

❹ -- Have a list of journal articles where these norms and data were taken from to further your reading.

The Speech Development Chart references the cross-linguistic review from McLeod & Crowe (2018). The review showed that most of the world’s consonants were acquired by 5;0 years.

This chart is an engaging addition to your speech pathology office or waiting room. You can also print out the black and white version to use for screening or assessing stimulability.

PRINTING OPTIONS:
1. You can take the Speech Development Chart to a local print or office supplies shop to be printed as poster size. I have successfully printed the poster at A0 size.
2. Print as regular paper sized and laminate for durability. It is great to pull out of a folder to reference.
3. Print the black & option and attach it to a report or use it for screening purposes.

CONTENTS:
✅ -- Single-page Speech Development Poster Chart

✅ -- Single-page Phonological Patterns Poster Chart
✅ -- Includes norms on speech intelligibility
✅ -- Comes in color and black & white
✅ -- Different color charts to choose from
