Looking for a fun and engaging distance learning activity? Spin a Summer Story is great for an interactive Whiteboard activity or to use during Zoom or Google Meet meetings!

For this fun writing activity, click on each wheel and watch it spin! A second click stops the wheel on a selection. Click a wheel for setting, characters, and genre. Have fun seeing what combinations you get, and practice creating and writing stories in an fun and engaging way. For example, when spinning the wheel you may get. Encourage creativity by having your students come up with their own unique stories using the endless combinations!

This activity is used through PowerPoint. Once you open the PowerPoint presentation, click on play presentation, and it should enter full screen mode with the ability to click the spinners. If using through zoom, open the application through your "share screen" option.
