Description

Are you looking for a fun and engaging way for your students to practice addition?

These Spring Addition Write the Room Task Cards are great for centers or early finishers. Print and laminate the cards, hang them around the room, or put them in task boxes for early finishers. Recording sheets and answer keys are provided.

I like to print, laminate, and put the task cards in pouches with the recording sheet. Then I put the pouches in my math early finisher center. This allows students to easily choose a pouch and work on a math skill once they finish their work.

More about the Cards

There are 2 sets of task cards. Addition within 10 with pictures and addition within 10 without pictures.

Each set comes with 12 task cards, recording sheets, and answer keys.

There are themed recording sheets and one general recording sheet that can be used with most of my math write the room task cards.

The answer keys can be printed, placed in page protectors, and placed in a binder or folder for self checking or teacher grading.

Add and subtract within 20, demonstrating fluency for addition and subtraction within 10. Use strategies such as counting on; making ten (e.g., 8 + 6 = 8 + 2 + 4 = 10 + 4 = 14); decomposing a number leading to a ten (e.g., 13 - 4 = 13 - 3 - 1 = 10 - 1 = 9); using the relationship between addition and subtraction (e.g., knowing that 8 + 4 = 12, one knows 12 - 8 = 4); and creating equivalent but easier or known sums (e.g., adding 6 + 7 by creating the known equivalent 6 + 6 + 1 = 12 + 1 = 13).
