Spring bunny file folder activities provide a hands-on approach in helping children learn the basic skills of counting numbers 1-10 and matching colors, letters, numbers, and shapes. ⛔ These activities were designed to be used in file folders; however, they can be used as activity mats or placed in a learning binder. File folder NOT included!

Activities in this resource include:

►Counting (numbers 1-10)

►Color Match (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, brown, gray, black, and white)

►Letter Match (A-Z uppercase to uppercase and uppercase to lowercase)

►Number Match 1-10 (number to number, number to number word, number to dots, & number to fingers)

►Shape Match (circle, oval, triangle, square, diamond, rectangle, pentagon, hexagon, octagon, and star)

Instructions for Assembly:

❶Cut out the folder cover and tab label.

❷Glue the cover to the front of the folder and the label to the tab.

❸Glue the game boards to the inside of the folder. 

❹Laminate the entire folder open for longer durability.

❺Laminate and cut out the game pieces.

❻Store game pieces in a plastic snack bag.

Common Core Standards Covered by This Resource:

✔K.CC.A Know number names and the count sequence.

✔K.CC.A.1 Count to 100 by ones and by tens.

✔K.CC.B Count to tell the number of objects

✔K.CC.B.4 Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.

✔K.CC.B.4a When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.

✔K.CC.B.4b Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.

✔K.CC.B.4c Understand that each successive number name refers to a quantity that is one larger.

✔K.G.A Identify and describe shapes (squares, circles, triangles, rectangles, hexagons, cubes, cones, cylinders, and spheres).

✔K.G.A.2 Correctly name shapes regardless of their orientations or overall size.
