Need a fun way to review the 10 main classes of the Dewey Decimal system? Then these fun and engaging coloring sheets are perfect for you! They can be used as part of your library orientation or as an ongoing review in the school library and help students learn how to find Nonfiction topics. These are a great resource to use in the weeks before and after the spring break to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and Easter in the Library.

You can use these color-by-code sheets as a lesson, as part of learning centers, or at stations. They are great to use as an engaging activity for students who are finished early or done checking out their books and the finished product would make a great bulletin board. Additional seasonal themes are available here, so you could use different versions of this activity throughout the year, with different grades, or as a monthly center activity.

These coloring sheets coordinate with my Dewey Decimal System Unit and Dewey Decimal Posters and Spring Color by Call Number Sheets. All of the subtopics used on the sheets are also used on my Dewey Decimal Posters, so when used with my DDC Posters, students could complete these sheets independently.

This resource includes:

• 5 color by number coloring sheets in PDF format
  • 2 sheets for the 000s-500s
  • 2 sheets for the 400s-900s
  • 1 sheet for the 000s-900s (more challenging)

• Answer key for each sheet
• Tips for using the color-by-number sheets in the classroom or library

The first 4 sheets each have 30-33 individual subtopics to match with their main class. The last sheet is more challenging since it has 50 subtopics and the colors to use are less obvious.
