Description

This Spring Fractions Escape Room is a highly engaging, self-checking digital math activity designed for practicing converting improper fractions to mixed numbers and mixed numbers to improper fractions.

Students solve 20 fraction conversion problems while exploring four spring festival–themed tents and restoring the festival recipes. This no prep digital escape room is perfect for review, math centers, early finishers, intervention, and seasonal spring math activities.

The activity is fully self-checking and student-paced. Students cannot move forward without entering the correct answer.

A printable worksheet and answer key are included for additional fraction practice or small group instruction.

Understand a fraction 𝘢/𝘣 with 𝘢 > 1 as a sum of fractions 1/𝘣.
Add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators (including mixed numbers) by replacing given fractions with equivalent fractions in such a way as to produce an equivalent sum or difference of fractions with like denominators. For example, 2/3 + 5/4 = 8/12 + 15/12 = 23/12. (In general, 𝘢/𝘣 + 𝘤/𝘥 = (𝘢𝘥 + 𝘣𝘤)/𝘣𝘥.)
