Description

Make this editable flower name craft with your students this spring! A fun and engaging scissor and name recognition activity to do in your preschool, PreK, and Kindergarten classrooms.

To add your students' names to the flower you will need to download the free version of Adobe Reader. There is also a link in the file to the free reader. Then just type the letters of your students' names into the gray boxes. You can also write the students' names or have them add the letters.

Add the name to the corresponding flower, print it on fun construction paper, then delete the name and continue with adding the next student. Cut out the flowers. Have your students cut on the dotted lines and then glue the pieces to make their names onto a contrasting color.

There are 11 different flower templates, including a blank flower if want to give your child a different scissor challenge. You can draw zig-zag lines, curvy lines, or make puzzle pieces. You can also use the blank flower if you have a child with more than 11 letters in their name.

Also included are four number-order activities, 1-5, 1-10, 11-20, and 10-100 by tens.

Great value
This craft was very valuable for my preschoolers because it helped them build important early skills in a fun, hands-on way. The highlight of the activity was seeing how excited they were to cut and arrange the flower pieces in order. It gave them great practice with scissors while also helping them recognize and match the letters in their names. I really liked how engaging and meaningful the project was for my students.
