This hands-on third grade math review activity helps students strengthen their understanding of fractions using the area model, number lines, fraction bars, and parts of a group while creating a fun and engaging craft.
This Spring Identifying Fractions Craft Packet includes:
- 1 cut and paste flower craft where students will identify the fractions on the flowers then color, cut and glue them to the flower pot
- 1 cut and paste bird eggs craft where students will identify the fractions on the bird eggs then color, cut and glue them to the nest
- 1 color and cut kite craft where students will draw the four different representations for a given fraction
- 1 3D birdhouse craft where students will identify fractions using all different representations. There is one strategy per heart side and one heart side with mixed representations.
- 1 fold out rainbow craft where students will write a word problem for their given fraction as well as draw the representations for it.
