Use these spring themed activities to target idioms both receptively and expressively, in a no-prep, digital format! This leveled resource is perfect for teaching and practicing idioms, and can also be used for easy homework or home practice.
Help build deeper spring background knowledge, and build students’ independence with idioms through the 3 levels in this resource.
Level 1 is a receptive task in a yes/no or true/false format, great for introducing the skill and providing examples/nonexamples. Level 2 is a receptive language task in a multiple choice format. Level 3 is an expressive language task in an open-ended question format.

This resource is great for progress monitoring, since there are 10 items for each skill at each level, and the target items for each unit are different for every season/holiday, so it provides a true measure of the student’s abilities, rather than the student’s ability to memorize answers. Use it as a quick data check at the beginning or end of a session!
Boom cards are also good for homework or home practice activities, since they can be assigned to individual students through boomlearning.com and completed by the student on any device.
