WHAT IS INCLUDED?

WHAT CENTERS ARE INCLUDED?

Pocket Chart Centers

• Cards with names written and they will match the color images to the name.
• Cards with the color names broken so they will spell the color word next to a colored ladybug.
• Whole Class Game Idea: Pass out the spelling cards to students. Put a colored ladybug on the pocket chart and have students try to spell the words. You can tell the color to be spelled or even assign a student as the leader to direct which color they are spelling next.

Sorting Mat

• Students will sort the color images onto the color mat.

Puzzles

• Students will put the puzzles in order. Each puzzle has the color ladybug on them and the color word.
• To help students there are also numbers across the bottom of the puzzle. The puzzles come in 3 different difficulty levels.
• The numbered puzzles come with the numbers 1-5, 1-10, or 11-20.

Clip or Cover Cards

• Students will use a manipulative to cover the color word of the colored image shown on the card.
• Some ideas for manipulatives include: counters, base ten blocks, pieces of cut up paper, beans, counting bears, mini erasers, laundry clips, cereal, if laminated dry erase markers, and if printed in BW and turned in stamps.

WHAT TYPES OF WORKSHEETS ARE INCLUDED?

• Color the ladybug the color word (all colors included on this page)
• Write the color words in boxes (2 pages)
• Individual color word pages where they will: color the ladybug, color the word, trace the word, write the word in a box, and color images that are the color. (11 pages)
• Leaf and ladybug cut and paste page for each color word. They will cut and paste the letters to spell the word and cut and paste images on ladybugs that are the color on a leaf. (11 pages)
• Color by code worksheets (2 pages)
