What others say

"I love this themed resource. I still have a few kindergarten students struggling with identifying numbers to ten and counting to ten. I love how the one activity has different ways to make the number. It adds an additional challenge and I love it!"

Description

Explore preschool Number Sense activities with this resource filled with math centers for preschool! This $2 resource is set up with differentiated levels of Spring-themed dice, tally marks, numbers, and more...activities for preschool & pre-k.

In these Spring math centers for preschool & pre-k, you will be able to take your students through concrete to pictorial counting.  They will love completing 2 and 3-part puzzles, learning about tally marks, and finding out how to use subtilizing with arrays, finger counting, ten frames and more.

Spring Preschool Number Sense Activities Included:

Level 1: Raindrop Dice Number Puzzles

  • This beginning level will introduce matching raindrops on dice to numbers. Students will learn each number means a quantity as they also learn to slowly recognize arrays of objects. This is a great activity for counting, subitizing, and reinforcing that all numbers mean a quantity.

Level 2: Raindrops, Flower Tallies & Numbers 3-part Puzzles

  • This center activity builds on the first activity by introducing another way to show a quantity or ‘say’ a number. With this activity you will be introducing counting a quantity of objects as well as flower tally marks. Students will have 3 different ways to learn in this center as they put together self-correcting puzzles, each piece ‘saying’ the same number.

Level 3: Spring Flower Patch Link It!

  • This activity builds on the first two, but adds the element of linking ALL of the number sense flowers around a central number flower. You can choose to attempt all of the numbers, or bring out one or two for the kids to challenge themselves at a slower pace. The Flower with the big number in the center will be the central flower, the other flowers will include the number in word form, tally, dice, finger counting, object counting and tenframes. Choose which math language you want to focus on each day, or try all 6.

Choose the preschool Number Sense activities that work best for your class!

I think you will LOVE these resources too!
