Description

Explore preschool counting activities with this $2 resource filled with math centers for preschool! This resource is set up with differentiated levels of Spring-themed one-to-one correspondence and counting activities for preschool & pre-k.

In these math centers for preschool & pre-k, you will be able to take your students through concrete to pictorial counting.  They will love making flowers, counting Spring birds and butterflies, and making a linked chain of baby ducks following behind their mamas.

Preschool Counting Activities Included:

  • Level 1: Spring Flower CountThis beginning level will help students recognize numbers and make the connection that each number means a quantity. The students will place a pom-pom or button at the top of each stem to make a flower-the amount of stems will match the number on each flower stem card.

  • Level 2: Duck and Duckling Count & LinkThis center activity builds on the first by adding higher numbers and fine motor work with links. Each duck card will have a number on it, the number means a quantity just as in the first level. Link the same number of ducklings to the mama duck. For an extra challenge, this activity uses numbers 1-15.

  • Level 3: Spring Count & Clip-1-10, 4 SetsThis activity builds on the first two but adds the element of choosing between three numbers instead of seeing just one possibility. The pictures are small and extra attention needs to be given and counting needs to be slow and methodical. The use of clothespins adds an element of fine motor work.

  • *Bonus Preschool Counting Activity* Count & Find the Numbers 0-10This preschool math center is much like the count and clip center, but this time the students will have 10 numbers to choose from
