Description

Do you need a fun way for your students to practice the skill of adding and subtracting whole numbers within 1000? How about an Easter-themed math activity or learning center perfect for the season? Try the simple game on this file. Just print and play!

Three different sets of recording sheets and game cards are included on this file. I prefer to use the first set as an introductory, whole-class activity, and then use the second and third sets as a learning center for the remainder of the season or month. An additional file with Sets 4, 5, & 6 is available for purchase to extend the fun well into the season.

There are two methods of play; solely dependent upon the amount of time you have available in preparation for this fun activity. Students play by solving the problems on game cards or recording sheets, self-check their answers using provided answer keys, and if correct, they move along the trail of Easter eggs.

This file contains:

●suggested procedures and management for both methods of play (whole-class and learning center)

●2 Easter Egg Dash & Smash game boards… one with designs on some of the eggs, one without designs on the eggs

●2 paper-clip spinners with 6 and 8 outcomes

●3 adding whole numbers within 1000 recording sheets with corresponding answer keys for the students to record their answers to the various questions they will solve during the game (and for teachers to have documentation)

●3 subtracting whole numbers within 1000 recording sheets with corresponding answer keys for the students to record their answers to the various questions they will solve during the game

●3 sets of 16 adding whole numbers within 1000 question cards and 16 corresponding answer cards

●3 sets of 16 subtracting whole numbers within 1000 question cards and 16 corresponding answer cards

●1 set of blank recording sheets and answer keys

●1 set of 32 blank question cards and 32 blank answer cards

Your students are certain to have a smashingly good time playing this game, all the while sharpening their ability to solve sums and differences of whole numbers within 1000.

Enjoy!
