Description

Spring themed Color by Note/Musical Symbol sheets! Leave these as a sub plan, use for early finishers, or on those random days before a break when students are a little less focused!

If you purchased my Winter Music Coloring Pages and enjoyed them, these are the exact same format, with three extra coloring pages.

There are three types of Color By Note/Symbol sheets included:

3 Color by Rhythmic Value

  • Birdhouse picture: eighth notes, quarter notes, quarter rest
  • Flower picture: eighth notes, quarter notes, half notes, whole notes, quarter rest
  • Umbrella picture: sixteenth notes, eighth notes, quarter notes, half notes, whole notes, quarter rest, half rest

*Additionally, all of these sheets have a version with Kodaly syllables in the key and one with standard note names in the key.

3 Color by Treble Clef Note Names

  • Birdhouse picture: Space notes (FACE)
  • Caterpillar picture: Line notes (EGBDF)
  • Rainbow picture: All notes (ABCDEFG)

*Additionally, two of these sheets have a version with letter names in the key and a version with line/space numbers in the key.

3 Color by Musical Symbol

  • Ladybug picture: Dynamics (pianissimo through fortissimo, forte piano)
  • Weather picture: Sharp, flat, natural, treble clef, bass clef, crescendo, decrescendo
  • Butterfly picture: Repeat sign, staff, treble clef, bass clef, time signature, breath mark

There are also sheets with Note and Rest Value names, Treble Clef Notes names, Dynamics, and Musical Symbol names if you want to copy those on the back of any of the sheets for students to use as a guide.

Just like the winter coloring pages, I created these to use on a day I had a sub, and my goal was to make something every grade level K-5 could use! I used the quarter note/rest, eighth note picture with grades K-1, the picture with extended rhythms (such as half and whole notes) with grades 2-3, treble clef notes with grade 4, and musical symbols with grade 5. There is something for everyone!

Our students colored a page from this. We also posted a list of notes and rests to study. At the end of the week we had trivia questions. We will do this again to keep reinforce the material.
