Description

Looking to practice shapes and counting in your Spring math centers? Your kindergartners will use pattern blocks to build Spring Insect and Flower themed pictures while they work on identifying shapes and counting with this fun math center activity.

You can also use these Spring Pattern Block math games as a:

  • Spring-themed independent math activity that keeps your students engaged while working independently
  • Spring morning work for shape practice and counting
  • Early finisher activity perfect for spring

And my favorite way: Use these in your small groups as a math small group activity. These pattern block mats are great hands-on activities for comparing numbers, counting, and writing numbers 0-20 with your small group!

Looking for something beyond another spring worksheet? Look no further- these spring activities are not another spring worksheet for your kindergartners! And here’s why…

Every spring pattern block mat activity incorporates pattern blocks, dice, and crayons that add instant engagement while practicing counting and shapes. Your students will be having fun, while working on fine motor skills as well!

Plus, inside the Spring Pattern Blocks Math Centers you will find:

10 different ten frame mats that cover skills such as:

  • Number identification
  • Comparing and contrasting numbers (greater than, less than, and equal to)
  • Correctly name shapes regardless of their orientations or overall size.
  • Compose simple shapes to form larger shapes.
  • Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities
  • Counting objects
  • Counting to answer “how many?” questions (up to 20 pattern blocks)

Differentiate your spring pattern blocks math center with ease:

  • Some pattern block mats will only practice 0-10 and some will practice 0-20

Need an ink-saving solution?

  • There is a printer friendly version also! You can use the black and white version and have your students color the shapes as they roll the dice and match! Another great way to incorporate fine motor skills!
