Description

PBL Math Activities

This Spring math PBL project will have your students practicing real-world math applications while having a BLAST! This project based learning task is a great extension and enrichment activity for your early finishers. This Spring math activity allows them to plan out some festive activities at the Spring festival! Students will love this fun project to spiral skills and challenge them during March, April and May.


This pack would be great for enriching second graders, perfect for third graders, and even a great review for upper grades!

This product is DIFFERENTIATED for you and your students, and includes U.S., Australian, and Canadian versions!!

HERE ARE THE TASKS STUDENTS WILL COMPLETE:

•The Petting Farm: Students use addition and subtraction to select the animals that will be at the petting zoo, can challenge them by giving them a budget to follow.

•Spring Festival Activities: Students create a schedule of activities they'd like to participate in at the Spring festival.

•The Garden Store: Students travel to different task cards helping customers count their money. They'll also use addition and subtraction as they answer word problems about what they can and can't buy.

•Build a Bug Jar: Students travel to task cards and observe and record different fractions about other students' bug jars.

•The Great Tulip Contest: Students measure the contestants' tulips in inches or centimeters, record their information, and answer some measurement questions.

•Strawberry Patch: Students help the owner of the strawberry patch create a bar graph about how many visitors came each day and then make business decisions based on the data.
