Spring Reading Comprehension Text Evidence Reading Passages for Spring 2nd Grade: These Spring reading comprehension passages will get your classroom in the mood for springtime while also giving them practice with going back into the text to prove their answers!
Each passage is full of facts about several spring topics that contain questions calling for students to revisit the text & underline their answer using a specific color.
There is also one written response question per passage that students must also go back into the text to answer.
Not only will these passages & questions help develop the habit of looking back into the text, but students will also practice reading fluency and comprehending non-fiction texts as well. Included at the bottom of each passage are 3 small pictures students will color. (One for each time read.) Once they've read the passage 3 times they are ready to begin looking back into the passage to find the answers to each question.
So far the topics included are..
- The Water Cycle
- Ladybugs
- Bees
- Ants
- Frogs
- Trees
- Swans
- Butterflies
- Birds
- Fish
- Ducks
