Description
My students are currently working on subtraction and I am always looking for fun ways for them to practice the skill. I got some shape punches from the Target dollar section recently and realized they could punch out the shape, glue them to match the number, then subtract by crossing out the matching number and write the answer. This will help them gain beneficial fine motor practice, coordination, plus good ol' count and match the number time.
If you don’t have shape punches, you can always use stamps, bingo dabbers, stickers or even just have them draw pictures to match the numbers. What a fun way to practice subtraction!
There are two different booklets included – one to practice subtraction to 5, the other to practice subtraction to 10. The booklets can easily be printed double sided to save on paper!
Happy subtracting!
