Description

Help your little learners increase their sentence length! This interactive sentence building activity is fun and perfect for students who need a repetitive, visual format. Whether students are verbal or non-verbal, they can build sentences of increasing length. In this spring themed activity you will find 10 large cards with the following pictures to piece together to make a sentence:

sentence starter: "I see"

numbers: 1-10

colors: 10 colors

nouns: 10 spring vocabulary pictures

This can be purchased on it's own or part of a Build-A-Sentence Bundle.

This activity is great for speech/language pathologists, special education teachers and parents who want to work on increasing sentence length using visual cues. I use this with my young students with autism spectrum disorders.

I use this resource with a student with moderate cognitive disabilities. Though I planned to only use it in the spring, the child loves it so much that we've kept going! I appreciate that the child can slowly increase the number of words in their sentence from "I see butterflies" to adding modifiers - how many, what color. This allows for differentiation, but also allowed the student to continue to be challenged by the activity. Thank you for a great resource!
