Spring Time Prepositions

Common Core Skill:
Your students will learn the meaning of commonly used prepositions. (These include: in, out, above, below, on, etc.)

Game Play:
Pick an object. Pick a preposition word. Place the word on the sentence strip. Read the sentence strip. Place the object by the basket depending on the word.

Differentiated Instruction:
There are empty boxes for you to create your own words. Make more
advance preposition words to give students a challenge.

Spring Words Photo Card Phonetics
Chirp, chirp. Spring is here. Practice tracing the Spring words. All done? Great job! Now for an extra challenge try spelling the words using a sentence strip.

Common Core Skill:
Your students will learn to print lowercase letters. They also work on spelling words phonetically.

Game Play:
Game # 1: Pick a photo card from the table. Say the name of the picture. Flip the card over. Use a dry erase marker to trace the word. Sound the word out as you write. Take turns until all cards are complete.

Game #2: Pick a photo card from the table. Say the name of the picture. Everyone takes a sentence strip. Everyone writes the word on their own sentence strip sounding out the word phonetically. Flip over card to see correct spelling. Take turns picking cards.

Differentiated Instruction:
There are two photo card games that build on one another. The first game students practice printing lowercase letter by tracing the words on the photo cards. The second game students practice spelling words phonetically by spelling the words on sentence strips.
