Spring writing and spring activities would not be complete without learning about baby animals on the farm! This science and writing packet will help you integrate the science of lifecycles with reading comprehension passages. Kids naturally love animals; this set will help them learn more about farm animals as they read.
How You Can Use This Set:
- literacy or science centers
- augment a lifecycles unit
- whole class lessons with a follow-up booklet
- small group reading instruction
What is Included:
Reading Passages and comprehension questions on:
- pigs
- horses
- chickens
- cows
For EACH animal, the following activities are also included:
- The lifecycle reading and diagram page allows students to draw their own version of the lifecycle.
- Vocabulary/spelling cards to use as you choose
- Grammar lesson for each animal
- Writing ideas (fiction and non-fiction) for each animal and an interlined paper for the student writing.
- Ideas for fast finishers
