Need a great activity for perfect square roots? Give a treasure hunt a try! This treasure hunt says that the treasure is located "at the filing cabinet." I tape a picture of a treasure at the filing cabinet and the winning student (or students if you do this in groups) can turn in the picture for a "real treasure."
Wondering why a seller called Grade 5 Greatness is making a square roots activity? I’m glad you asked! :) I do teach fifth grade math, but my last class of the day is an “enrichment” class. For my enrichment class, I have the high learners who are ready for higher level math. In that class, we work on 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math skills! That is why I tagged 5th and 6th in this activity and why I tagged it as gifted and talented--for those teachers like me who do get to teach a class that can handle square roots!
