Description

Get students engaged in learning with these cereal loop themed math and literacy centers! These are perfect to add to your March/St. Patrick's Day/Rainbow activities. Students will work on counting, handwriting, letter recognition, rhyming, shapes, syllables, and fine motor skills. Perfect for small groups, independent work, or fast finishers in your preschool, pre-k, kindergarten, or special education classroom.

12 Different Activities Included:

Count, Find, & Trace - Option 1: Sensory Bin: Place cards in a sensory bin. Have students choose a card, count the cereal, and trace that number on the recording sheet.

Option 2: Write the Room. Hang cards up around the classroom. Give students the recording sheet on a clipboard.

Choose from 1-12 or 1-20. Color and black and white recording sheets included.

Build a Letter - Provide students with letter cards (capital and lower case included) and a manipulative to build letters with: cereal loops, pom-poms, buttons, etc.

Two optional recording sheets are also included. Students can build the number, find it, and stamp it in the cereal bowl.

Rhyming Word SMASH - Students choose a card and find the word that rhymes with it in the cereal bowl. Students then SMASH play-doh balls over the picture to cover it. 12 pairs of rhyming words included. A visual is also provided of all the words that rhyme. (KIDS WILL LOVE THIS)

Which has the least/MOST? - Have students use clothespins to clip the bowl of cereal that has the least/most on each task card. 24 cards total.

10/20 Frame Cards - Students choose a card, identify the number, show the number on a 10/20 frame cereal loops, buttons, pom poms, mini erasers, etc., and then trace the number.

Syllable Sort - Students will sort cards by number of syllables in the word. 24 cards and bowl labels included.

Shape Trace - Students will choose a card, identify the shape, and trace the shape. Choose from using 8 or 12 shapes.

Sort & Graph Mats - Students sort and graph the cereal

The kids loved this cereal template! We used some cereal to make a rainbow and then proceeded by using the cereal for this template! Super fun and easy to make in groups. Clipart is very cute as well!
