Description

Differentiate as your students practice up to 231 addition facts to 20 ❤️ by matching St. Patrick's Day shamrocks with addition facts to 20 to leprechaun SUM MATS with the correct sum. Differentiate by giving students the fact shamrocks and sum leprechauns that they need to practice.

❤️ 231 Addition Facts... Differentiate!

✅ Match the Addition Fact Shamrock

to the correct St. Patrick's Day Sum Leprechaun.

File includes:

✅ 20 Math Addition Leprechaun Mats

✅ 231 Addition Shamrock Fact Cards

✅ 4 Addition Recording Sheets

(COLOR AND BLACKLINE)

✅ 4 Addition Super Star Awards

(COLOR AND BLACKLINE)

❤️ Suggestions for Use

✅ Give students the Addition Facts Shamrocks and Sum Leprechauns that are most appropriate for their abilities.

I did include Shamrock backings at the end of the file if you want to print back to back or cut and glue.

✅ Students take turns picking shamrocks, and keeping them if they can place a particular fact on one of their Leprechaun Sum Mats.

✅ Simply give students the Addition Fact Shamrocks and Addition Leprechaun Sum Mats to match up.

You can ask students to record their facts and sums for any of the activities using the recording sheets provided.

Even More Ways to Play:

❤️ Game 1: Select the fact cards that are appropriate for your students. Place cards face down in a pile. Students roll a die to see how many cards they can pick. Students keep each card that they correctly solve. Students can record each fact on the optional recording sheets. The game is over when all shamrocks have been drawn. The winner is the student with the most cards.

❤️ Game 2: Select 10 pairs of cards with the same answer for each pair. Place those 20 cards face down in 4 rows of five. Students play Memory or Concentration, turning over 2 cards at a time and keeping them if they have the same solution. The game is over when all cards are gone. Students can record the facts using the optional recording sheets. The winner is the student with the most shamrocks. Keep cards that belong together in individual baggies.

❤️ Game 3: Select the facts that a group of students needs to practice. Students line up the cards as though they are on a race track or path. This creates a “follow the path” type game. Each student has a game token. Students take turns rolling a die, moving that number of spaces and solving the fact that is on the space where the student lands. Students can record the facts on the optional recording sheets.
