Description

St. Patrick's Day: St. Patrick's Day Place Value Puzzle - an engaging 100 chart puzzle math station for March math fun where students use 78 mini task cards to identify and color numbers on a 100 chart that are represented by base 10 blocks. This is a fantastic way to get students to practice identifying the base 10 representation of dozens of numbers in one sitting in a fun way!

When they're all done, their 100 chart will reveal a leprechaun with a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow!

Save a bunch by getting this in the Place Value Puzzles Bundle!

Simply print, cut out, and throw these cards in a baggie and it's an instant math station! These are a perfect way to keep your students super engaged and quiet while practicing an important skill in a fun way so you can pull math groups or whatever you need to do.

There is also a full set of NUMBER cards for all of the numbers to be colored so you can do it as just a number sense activity (they simply look at the number and color it in the color the card says) or so you can differentiate for students who struggle with place value.

These are also great for fast finishers! "You're done? Go grab a bag and a 100 chart!"

I also have this in Spanish!

I love this resource! It's easy to prep and students enjoy it. I've mainly used it as a half-day activity, something they can work on near the holiday, while we have the short and choppy half-day. It's not so predictable that there's always students who have to double-check, speedy students usually end up making a mistake somewhere so I'm glad the background isn't one blob color.

This was a fun activity. It is best used by breaking it up into smaller chunks. There are a lot of cards. I found giving them 15 or so cards a day made it much easier for them to complete and finish.
