Description
This activity contains teacher directions for a student assignment using scale factor.
Students are given coordinate pairs to plot, which will form a shamrock. Students must calculate the new image using a scale factor of 2, and complete the table listing the new points. Then, plot the new image.
**I have included a Quadrant One coordinate grid, and each student will need 2 copies. For more of a challenge, students may create a grid using graph paper (not included).
Teachers may allow students to decorate the shamrock, or create a poster of the finished product.
