Description

Get ready for St. Patrick’s Day with this fun worksheet where the children have to complete the festive patterns. The clipart illustrations are hand drawn by me so you’ll be bringing original designs into your classrooms. In this one worksheet alone you’ll find that the children will engage in early literacy skills as they describe what they see, counting, spotting differences, and noticing what comes next with these patterns.

This is a simple yet effective way to help your students learn and practice patterns at home or it can be an activity as review for home. These four strips will be exciting for children as they’ll learn the skill of prediction and identifying what is already present with these pictures. The children will also realize how patterns can show up in our everyday lives, maybe the children can fill in the next box with their own special drawing to showcase what comes next. I am thrilled just by imagining the outcome of using this worksheet for children.
