About this activity:

This resource is the perfect companion for any stacking block game!

Simply stack the blocks on the ipad first, then let your students stack/unstack the real life blocks in your classroom.

This set comes with 8 phonemes; 15 target words per phoneme - 5 for each position. Each phoneme comes with a visual "mouth cue" as well!

There are adorable pictures of kids enjoying the game too!

As you click to each new slide, ask your students how the children in the pictures are feeling about "stacking" the blocks! Excited, nervous, worried, hopeful?

What are BOOM Cards TM?

Boom cards are digital task cards that you play on the Boom Learning website. They are easy and fun to use! Check out ALL my Boom cards HERE!

  • No printing, cutting, laminating
  • Interactive
  • Self-grading
  • Use with internet connected devices: computers, tablets, Smartboards
  • Data tracking with paid subscription


You will receive a link to the task cards on the Boom Learning website when you download this resource. You will be asked to sign into your account or create a free account. All purchased decks can be found in your Library. Boom Cards are accessed and used on the Boom Learning website. There is no need to download, save, or print.

To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards.

You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins," (play provides instant feedback for self-grading Boom Cards). Fast Play is always a free way for students to engage with Boom Cards decks. For additional assignment options you'll need a premium account.
