Description

  • This is a Google Slides file.
  • This resource is intended to be used virtually through the Pear Deck add-on or any other means where students can write on their screen/Slide.
  • This slide deck practice the standard algorithm method of long division. Each slide presents one more step of a problem. Students complete one step then move to the next Slide where all the previous steps are done for them.
  • Students utilize various supports throughout their process, including writing multiples down the side, utilizing the graphic organizer as a support, color-coding, and steps written out at the bottom with arrows pointing to the corresponding step.
  • Though it could be used a variety of ways, I have found this resource most successful when utilized as teacher-paced guided practice during instruction.
  • The final two slides allow students to practice independently.
