Description

My specialty is creating a daily math lesson that is very visual and engaging for students, with very little prep by the teacher. The prep needed for this lesson is displayed in the thumbnail.  As a classroom teacher, I loved the already made lessons; I only needed to print the necessary materials.

This lesson follows the gradual release method of instruction.  This lesson:

  • Is based on NYS Next Generation Math Standards for 4th Grade
  • Can be displayed on a smartboard for whole group instruction or individual computer for small group instruction.
  • Working on the math board engages the students in the lesson, as there is very little idle time.
  • By using the lesson, the teacher is freed up to walk around the room assessing & remediating as necessary.
  • Includes a graphic organizer and visuals to help aid in comprehension.
  • The students review the vocabulary, write the displayed problem on their math board, and solve following the step-by-step instructions in the lesson.
  • Includes 1 modeled example, 7 practice problems you do together, and 1 challenge question that can be done together or individually.
  • The final pages include classwork, exit ticket, and answer keys to print for individual assessment.

This product is a 47 page Google Slides Presentation that can be easily uploaded into a PowerPoint Presentation.
