This is a fun, easy, no prep activity for kids that are learning their standard and expanded form numbers.

There are 144 cards with 72 matches.

MEMORY: Students will lay the standard number and expanded cards face down. Then the students can turn two over at a time and see if they are a match. If they match they can go again. If they do not match the turn is over. This can be played in groups of 2 - 4.

For students who struggle they might want to only do half of the 0 - 99 cards.

The higher students might want the 200 - 999 cards.

MATCH GAME: Tape all the standard number cards around the room. Then hand out the expanded form to the students. They must find their match. They can either stand by it (if only one card is given out) or they can go get it and bring it back to their seat.

Print on white, card stock, or colored paper. Laminate and reuse each year.

Excellent way to use this in centers, small groups, or even a whole group practice and review.
